What has TRII CONSULTANCY got to offer?

We are familiar with unique engineering solutions for construction and excavation methods within tree root protection areas (RPA), ranging from pile foundations, above soil permeable hard surfacing, compressed air soil displacement and vacuum excavation. We liaise with homeowners, contractors, builders, ground workers, architects, lawyers and barristers on all levels of tree-related matters concerning planning and development.

We use Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and laser rangefinders to plot trees on-site with precision. Each tree is geographically referenced and plotted using AutoCAD on Ordnance Survey maps or topographical surveys. We produce a detailed schedule of trees listing all their attributes and given them unique identification numbers. Each tree number in the schedule is a hyperlink to Google Maps, making it a doddle to find the tree with your smartphone or other internet-connected mobile device.

Why is a tree consultant crucial to your planning application?

Trees are a material consideration for local planning authorities under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended). Suppose there are trees on-site or close to it that may be affected. In that case,  the council will likely require a tree survey and arboricultural impact assessment to determine whether the proposed development will harm the trees and the site's character and appearance.

TRII CONSULTANCY provides full arboricultural-planning services from a ground-truthing tree survey following British Standards Institution BS 5837: 2012 Trees in relation to design, demolition and construction - Recommendations. On-site supervision during demolition and construction phases following planning approval. During the design process before application submission, we liaise with your architect and consultants on all tree-related matters, from layout arrangement, tree management plans, shading, new planting, post-development pressure mitigation and tree protection measures for those retained within the scheme.
